About TNVLC Volunteers

The Triangle Nonprofit & Volunteer Leadership Center is sustained by the extraordinary commitment of our volunteers. We simply could not do what we do without them.

Every day, thousands of volunteers show up across our region to meet needs that would otherwise go unmet. They serve in hundreds of nonprofits, strengthening organizations that support children, families, older adults, animals, and entire communities. Their work spans every corner of need — from food security and education to companionship, crisis response, and community care.

They do this work without pay. Many do it without recognition. Yet their impact is profound and essential. Volunteers are often the quiet force behind the most meaningful moments of care and connection in our communities.

What makes them remarkable is not only what they do, but how they do it. They give their time, their skills, and their compassion freely. They show up consistently, often in the background, ensuring that nonprofits can continue their missions and that individuals and families receive the support they depend on.

Their service strengthens the very fabric of our community. It builds trust, connection, and resilience. It reminds us that meaningful change is possible when people choose to act on behalf of others.

We are deeply grateful for every volunteer who gives of themselves so generously. Their collective impact is immeasurable, and our community is stronger because of them.
