Ivey Fulmer

About Ivey

A Lifelong Teacher and Everyday Hero

For the past 15 years, Ivey Fulmer has dedicated herself to teaching third and fourth graders with compassion, creativity, and heart. Her classroom is a place where students feel safe, supported, and encouraged to be their best. She meets each child where they are and helps them grow academically, emotionally, and personally.

What sets Ivey apart is her deep love for helping others. She goes above and beyond for her students, whether staying late to tutor, creating a fun and engaging lesson, or simply being a constant source of encouragement.

To me, Ivey is more than an exceptional teacher. She is my sister and my hero. She inspires me every day with her strength, patience, and the quiet way she leads by example. I’ve learned so much from her, not just about teaching or service, but about how to show up for others with love and grace.

Ivey may not seek recognition, but she deserves to be celebrated. Her influence extends far beyond the classroom and deeply into the lives of those lucky enough to know her. I’m proud to honor her through this Flags for Heroes tribute. She represents everything this event stands for: dedication, service, and the power to make a difference.
