About kenneth

Veteran, United States Air Force

My brother, Kenneth, served his country with pride in the U.S. Air Force, carrying forward the legacy of service that defined our family. He embodied the best qualities of both our mother and father — our mother’s deep commitment to community and our father’s love of aviation, nature, and helping others.

In our small rural town, Kenneth was a quiet hero. He served as Volunteer Captain of the local fire department, often putting himself in harm’s way when responding to fire and rescue calls. In these moments, he regularly placed himself in dangerous situations in order to protect and save others. He kept the emergency band radio beside his bed, always ready to answer the call — day or night, whenever his community needed him.

He also served as a medic on the local emergency squad, providing care and responding to emergencies without compensation, simply because helping others was part of who he was.
Kenneth had a generous heart. He rescued dogs, loved the outdoors, and was always willing to lend a hand to older neighbors struggling with projects they could no longer manage themselves. He saw needs others overlooked and stepped forward without hesitation.

He died far too young from complications during COVID, leaving behind a space that can never truly be filled.
