About LEROY

Veteran (AUS-Ret)

Having married on December 7, 1940, in the spring of '41, LeRoy was among the first draftees from Washington, DC. His service included earning a commission, training in the US, and ultimately deployment to Europe. He crossed the Channel on Christmas of '44. When the war ended, he returned to his home state of Arkansas, and served in the National Guard, ultimately retiring with the rank of Major. He was a lifelong patriot.
